Actually...I, sadly, was unable to complete even the second week due to health issues and the process of packing up 28 years of memories to move, which has taken much longer than expected.
So I will re-start this program in January of 2012. God-Willing!

to simply divine photography writer: i want you to know that this poem you wrote titled 'a stranger within me' touched the very depths of my heart and soul. i can understand where you are coming from. i came from a physically abusive home growing up & then married someone I thought I knew well, but turns out i didn't know this person at all-he was verbally abusive to the point that i now hate myself. after a very ugly divorce and custody battle (which i lost because of my work schedule only) i feel like an empty shell filled with nothing but regret, mourning the loss of my 3 daughters who now live across the country from me, and have begun to believe the ugly things that were said about me all my life. i am not the person i used to be either and the person i see staring back at me in the mirror every morning is like what you wrote, its just a stranger staring back at me every single day. i want to follow your writing because maybe we can make it back to that person we used to be, in a way like online support. so many things you have written have helped me and i just needed to say thank you and please don't give up writing and posting your life journey on your blogs, i saw your son's from the link 'missing will' and it broke my heart. What you are writing will help many people that you may never ever meet. i know you have helped me through many a hard day. thank you for sharing your life with the world. it is brave and courageous of you to do this. i don't want to sign my name. i'm sorry for that, but maybe someday i will be brave enough to do that, but for now just call me 'the stranger'.

Put this in an Italian to English translator, it worked for me and was very touching though I think some thing were lost in translation, the general idea is beautiful though a tear jerker. Nicely written Simply Divine Photographer.

I cannot wait for that blessed day...until then Thank you for taking the time to not just read...but leave a comment too. I desire to keep my son's memory alive because the memories are all we have left.
I grieve for my son like I never believed it possible to grieve for someone...My two children have always been the sunshine of my days...the stars in my night skies...my laughter and reason for living...my beautiful children and my wonderful husband...the perfect little family...How we all miss William so very much.

Thanks Kaishon...flowers were brought to me from my dear hubby "just because"! He's too good to be true :) Oh & by the way, that first journey yesterday was an all day until 11:00 p.m. It was an Incredible journey...I was scared at times, extremely inspired, nervous during parts on the one-way mountain roads, but I did complete it and oh what a good feeling that was.
Can't wait to see the pictures I took while on my Artist's Journey Week 1!
(P.S. Here it is the middle of September and I still have not looked at those photos from my Artist's Journey Week 1...What IS wrong with me?

People may wonder why I write on here to my son, or write about how I feel because of losing my son. It helps me to feel connected...and for me it works. Yesterday, I read an article on grief and to quote it said, "Only through talking out the past can the bereaved person realize the extent of the relationship with the deceased and accept the loss and suffering. Only through weeping and talking to good listeners can they release their grief and their feelings of guilt and hostility. Experts in grief therapy believe that grief can be expressed best through rites, rituals and ceremonies. The ceremony deals primarily with intellectual concepts and doesn't fully engage the bereaved's feelings in the patterns of community support which are psychologically beneficial."

I guess this is why I do what I do...it helps me on my journey "through" grief...because there is no "getting over it"

Thanks Tammy...The G.I.Jane was just in fun (totally) for what William used to always tell Charlotte when they were little about being a G.I.Joe when she got hurt! I'm the farthest thing from a G.I Jane/Joe or anything else military related! lol
I need to give myself a new challenge now that that one is over....Something I'll have to think about!
