Locked Up

Have you ever felt locked up inside?

Have you ever felt there

were chains holding

 you down and that the key to the lock

was thrown away?

Have you ever felt that the bars
bolted around you were so strong
that nothing could cut through them?

Have you ever felt that your
"Room with a View"

had veritical steel barring your "View"?

Have you ever felt caged in with
barely enough room to even move?

I want to give you hope...

Not a false sense of security,

but a hope that will last through

the end of time. There can be peace

in the midst of your storm of life.

No matter what you are going
through...no matter how tightly
bound you may be...there is an

answer for your freedom. That answer
is found in Jesus Christ...the maker

 of all things and the Prince of Peace.

When we feel we cannot face another
day...behind bars "spiritually"

or even in an "emotional prison",

He is there to unlock our prison
doors, to pick up the broken
pieces of our hearts and lives. He is
there to put us back together again.

I know....I have been in that prison 
of despair since the death of my 19
year old son from a tragic car
accident. It especially hurts when

people ask if he was drunk.
NO!...he was not drinking. Just
today, someone asked me that
question & since then, I have felt
myself sinking back behind those
prison bars, just wanting to hide
from the world. But, God put us

here on earth, not to hide...but to
shine the light He has given us, so
that others may see it & be led
towards their own healing & freedom.

I will be the first to admit, that yes,
I have let circumstances in my life

make me become a mere shadow of
my former self...but I want to get

up again in 2010...I don't want to
"just survive"...I want to THRIVE!

"I can do all things through Christ
which strengtheneth me."
Phil 4:13 (KJV)

I want to soar on wings as an eagle...

Isaiah 40:31 says,

"But they that wait upon the Lord
shall renewtheir strength: they shall
mount up with wings as eagles;

they shall run,and not be weary; 

they shall walk, and not faint." (KJV) 

Lord, I will hold fast to your unfailing
hand as you strengthen my wings
to soar across the heavens!

I love you Heavenly Father!

Let my words speak to some soul

searching for the courage &
freedom to soar on wings as eagles!
